A warm, roasted ritual that goes beyond coffee
Charles Liban started Inafi after his doctor told him to stop drinking coffee because it was making his GERD-related acid reflux worse. It was a big change for someone who really loved the smell, taste, and daily ritual of coffee to stop drinking it.
The search for something better
Charles began to look for other options, hoping to find something that would still give him a familiar taste in the cup. But most of what he found didn't quite work. Some didn't brew in a way that was familiar to him, and a lot of them just didn't taste like roasted coffee, which is what he wanted.
From research to experimentation
That search led Charles to learn more about roasted rice and grain-based drinks, including traditions in Japan and the Philippines. The idea stayed with him, and he began experimenting on his own. He tested different ways of roasting rice again and again, adjusting the process many times in search of a flavour that felt warm, roasted, satisfying, and worth coming back to.
Shaped through real feedback
As the product started to take shape, Charles asked friends to try it. The response was encouraging. Most of them liked it, even though he understood from the beginning that it would not be for everyone. The goal was never to please everyone. The goal was to create something genuinely enjoyable for people looking for a roasted drink they could truly look forward to.

Inafi was created for people who love the ritual of coffee but are looking beyond it for personal reasons, including sensitivity to caffeine, acidity, or other lifestyle considerations. It is designed to offer a warm, satisfying, coffee-like experience in a familiar brew format.

The result is Inafi: a roasted jasmine rice coffee alternative built on roasted organic jasmine rice and designed to feel familiar in the way it brews, comforting in the way it drinks, and distinct enough to stand on its own.
Today, Inafi is available in two blends: Classic, made with roasted organic jasmine rice, and Premium Blend, made with roasted organic jasmine rice with organic mung beans.
